Born into a family where Ayurveda and Yoga practices were woven into our daily fabric of living, without the labels; so it wasn’t until much later in life that I made the connection. As a child, I remember waking up to the smell of the agarbati (incense sticks), hearing mum chanting the Hanuman Chalisa and seeing my dad inverted in a headstand against the wall. There were specific food preparations according to the season it was and there was always something to celebrate. I admit, I didn’t always appreciate the rich culture I was born into, especially my ten year old self moving to London in 1987; all I wanted then was to fit in. I am so thankful for my parents perseverance for preserving our holistic lifestyle and giving me a strong foundation to grow from.

Throughout my life, I have been gravitated towards healing and the mystical powers of mantras, mythology and yoga. However, it wasn’t until 2011 that I discovered Yoga’s true potency and its power of healing. Yoga is a sacred practice of love and devotion and I am honored to be a student on this journey. I completed my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2015 and have actively studied and taught yoga to students of all ages and walks of life since then. I am a Level I iRest Yoga Nidra facilitator as taught by Dr Richard Miller as well as holding certification in Kids Yoga from Rainbow yoga and Prenatal Yoga from eight limbs yoga center in Seattle.

Stepping stone from teaching Yoga lead me to study and become an Ayurvedic Practitioner under the guidance of Dr Jayarajan Kodikannath and all the other talented faculty members at Kerala Ayurveda. Here, I finally got the answers to all the why’s behind my existing Ayurvedic lifestyle my family have passed onto me. More importantly, I see clearly how integrating two sister sciences- Ayurveda and Yoga,  can  transform health and wellbeing in its entirety.

Inspired by the Sloka in the Vishnu Purana “Sa Vidya Vimuktaye” meaning “True knowledge is that which leads to liberation”, I am constantly exploring ways to deepen my knowledge, refine myself and unfold so that I can show up and share in the most authentic way. It would be my honor to guide you in your journey- whether that's to stay healthy or reconnect with your health. My wish is for everyone seeking health and balance to discover their own true potential of healing and to experience life's abundant gifts. May you always know your true self.
